Sorry I made a wrong comment. The final scan is made based on the frame in a sample scan. However sample scans costs me too much extra time. I scanned already about 20.000 slides. I expect the slides to be totally scanned, UNLESS I make a deviant frame in the sample scan. So exactly the other way around as happening now in the software.
5.16.50 ignores darker parts on slides. The software should scan the WHOLE slide. Cutting off parts of slides, if necessary, could always be done manually.
Another problem is that I get one or two red lines on darker slides. Sometimes even also one or two black lines.
Works reasonably fine with the DigitDia 7000 magazine scanner.
V5.18 (latest available end 2020) does run into problems at some occasions : Prescan fails to detect edges correctly for Title slides that have a completely black background. Prescan also fails badly on (very old) black&white slides. In these cases as a result, only a small part of the image is being scanned. Check file size or check images before you discard your slides!!
